In honor of Groundhog Day, the Prissy Princess poked her head out this morning and looked at her weather forecast -- "It is not summer yet" -- and went back to bed, where she hopes to remain until it IS summer, or at least until the forecast stops mentioning things like "a winter event," which in her opinion is something that happens at the Olympics, not outside her house.
We hope you enjoy Groundhog Day, unless you are in Alaska, in which case we wish you a hearty Marmot Day. Marmots have assumed the groundhogs' weather forecasting duties in Alaska, because all the groundhogs have left the state in search of someplace (Hawaii) where they might have SOME hope of forecasting a quick end to winter. But at least the marmots have a pretty easy job in Alaska; no matter whether they see their shadow, winter will officially continue until August 14th, and then start again on August 15th.
